Uzone.id – Since the COVID-19 pandemic, golf has experienced a surge in popularity, becoming a lifestyle choice for many enthusiasts. Recognizing this trend, Huawei has introduced the Watch GT 5 Pro, a premium smartwatch designed specifically for golfers.
Often associated with a glamorous lifestyle, golf can be a demanding sport. To cater to the needs of golfers, the Watch GT 5 Pro is crafted with aerospace-grade titanium, ensuring durability and sophistication.
Available in two sizes – 46mm and 42mm – the smartwatch offers both a masculine and a feminine aesthetic. The 46mm model exudes a rugged charm, while the 42mm version boasts a more elegant and refined design.
The aerospace-grade titanium material is specifically used for the 46mm model. As for the 42mm variant, it’s crafted using nano-microcrystalline ceramic material that’s calcined at 1,500°C for seven days, combined with titanium alloy, making it extremely durable.
The 46mm Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro features a body design that’s entirely different from other smartwatches in its class. Its octagonal shape adds to its premium and luxurious feel.
On the right side, there’s a button and a rotating crown. One of the newest functions is the ability to take a screenshot of the watch’s UI by pressing both buttons simultaneously.
The crown also makes it easier to scroll through menus and zoom in on previously saved golf course maps.
If you prefer something smaller, the 42mm variant has a more feminine and elegant appearance. Its clean white ceramic body is paired with gold and silver accents, making it look like a high-end luxury watch.
Other brands might not differentiate the design of their smartwatches based on size, but Huawei does. The 42mm version of the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro is not octagonal but round, with a fairly thick bezel. It has a slightly classic feel that matches both casual and formal outfits.
Since the sizes differ, the screen size is also significantly different. The 46mm model has a 1.43-inch display, while the 42mm model has a 1.32-inch screen. Both use AMOLED panels with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and are protected by highly scratch-resistant sapphire glass.
This smartwatch also has a speaker, allowing users to take phone calls directly from the watch. If you’re busy and can’t hold your smartphone, there’s no harm in answering calls via the smartwatch.
The sound output during phone calls is clear, and your voice will also be heard clearly by the other person. The watch can also connect seamlessly to TWS earbuds.
What about the features?
Golf is indeed one of the new features of the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro. This smartwatch offers a driving mode for beginners, helping users measure swing tempo, swing speed, backswing, and downswing, which assists in improving future swings.
To make it easier, there’s also a demo for beginners, showing the correct way to hold the golf club and swing.
For pro golfers, the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro supports the 3D Golf Course Maps feature, offering more than 15,000 golf course maps worldwide and 157 golf courses in Indonesia, which can be downloaded and synced directly through the Huawei Health app.
Additionally, the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro can provide real-time distance data to the hole and deliver that data as you move. There’s also an indicator to view the hole position or green direction, wind speed, and direction info, and even data related to the elevation of the golf course’s green area, commonly called the green contour.
Is it just about golf? The Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro also offers valuable features for trail running and diving enthusiasts. This watch can be used for diving up to a depth of 40 meters and has been certified by leading diving organizations such as the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), Scuba Schools International (SSI), and Association Internationale pour le Développement de l’Apnée (AIDA).
One interesting feature of the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro, in addition to Huawei TruSense for heart rate monitoring, SpO2, sleep tracking, Sleep Apnea, and Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis, is the Emotional Wellbeing Assistant.
To further enhance the user’s well-being or mood, the smartwatch also offers yoga and meditation exercises, a cute panda-themed watch face, easy real-time health condition sharing, and a Health Community feature that allows users to track the condition of their loved ones from afar.
Lastly, the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro is equipped with an ECG analysis feature, which not only monitors heart rate but also provides detailed information about heart health and detects potential heart issues early.
