Uzone.id – On social media, many say that iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max only gets a slight upgrade from before. The design is still the same, just tinkering with the engine and providing new adjustments to the camera system?

Wider screen

Apple has increased the screen size of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, up 0.2 inches from before. The iPhone 16 Pro carries a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pro Max model is 6.9 inches – which is claimed to be the iPhone with the largest screen currently.

Apple still maintains the bright Super Retina XDR OLED, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and a screen brightness level of up to 2,000 nits (high brightness mode).

Not only wider, the bezels of both screens are also made thinner. Apple even claims that this bezel is the thinnest of any other Apple device. Apple also provides a Ceramic Shield layer that is 50 percent stronger than before.

Camera Control

Who said the design hasn’t changed? Apple has added an additional button to the iPhone 16 Series quartet, that’s also a design change, right?

This new button is called Camera Control. This button is a new way to quickly launch the camera, take photos, and start recording videos. Not only that, thanks to its capacitive sensor, you can control other camera settings, such as zooming, lighting, and depth of field.

Camera Control is also useful for opening Visual Intelligence, an artificial intelligence (AI) feature that helps users search for any information from objects captured by the camera, somewhat similar to Circle to Search ala Google and Samsung.

New colors!

Apple also presents new colors for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Using a grade 5 titanium chassis that is stronger and lighter than stainless steel or aluminum, Apple coats the body of its luxury cellphone with four colors.

There are Black Titanium, Natural Titanium, White Titanium, and Desert Titanium. The last color replaces Blue Titanium. Desert Titanium looks like gold, it looks more luxurious, because this color covers the entire body of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Meanwhile, the other three colors, the impression is more or less the same as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Greater camera system

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have identical camera systems, no difference as before. The main camera uses a 48 MP sensor, then the ultrawide lens is equipped with a high-quality 48 MP sensor, and the telephoto camera with tetra-prism technology with a 12 MP sensor.

Apple has crammed various innovations, making these two phones suitable for professional content creators who need high-quality video output. One of the latest, 4K video recording at 120 FPS in Dolby Vision mode, a combination of high resolution and frame rate ever on an iPhone, and Apple also claims this is the first in the industry.

Still on the subject of video, through both smartphones, users can record slo-mo videos in 4K mode at 120 FPS too. With this feature, users can adjust the playback speed after recording in Photos, starting from 24 FPS and above.

According to Apple, this feature allows users to take cinematic videos just in the palm of their hand. Plus, there is also an option to adjust the color gradation that can be seen directly in real-time.

For shooting, both 48 MP cameras can capture high-resolution ProRAW and HEIF. Especially for the ultrawide camera, users can capture macro photos from close range. While for the telephoto camera, both phones have amazing 5x optical zoom capabilities.

Apple A18 Pro

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are powered by the A18 Pro processor. This chipset is made using second-generation 3nm technology and features a new architecture with smaller, faster transistors and has a better level of power efficiency than before.

The A18 Pro is equipped with a faster 16-core Neural Engine chip, producing high performance for handling AI features, including Apple Intelligence. The performance increase is 17 percent from before, providing a faster AI experience than the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

For graphics processing, the performance of the 6-core GPU is also 20 percent faster, so it can drive graphics rendering for Apple Intelligence and stunning visuals for gaming.

The A18 pro has a 6-core CPU that is claimed to be the fastest in the industry. This chip consists of 2 performance-cores and 4 efficiency-cores that can run the same workload as the A17 Pro, but with 20 percent less power. Overall, its performance is 15 percent faster.

And as a complement, this processor is paired with storage memory from 128 GB to 1 TB, and a battery that is claimed to be larger than before. Unfortunately, Apple did not reveal in detail how much capacity it has.
